               HAPPY EASTER!

It´s Easter time! In Spain we have some Easter traditions like...

- Collecting candies in the Easter Parades (procesiones)

-Cooking and eating delicious recipes like torrijas, buñuelos, monas de Pascua...

-Painting Easter Eggs...

But, what do you know about the British Easter traditions? Here you have some of them:

- Eating"Hot cross buns" on Good Friday (Viernes Santo). These buns have a cross on top of it which symbolises the Jesus´s cross. It consists on a sweet bun (bollo) with raisins (pasas).  
- Colouring eggs with bright colours to represent the sunlight (luz del sol) of the spring.

- Playing "the Easter egg hunt". Children have to find small chocolate eggs that are hidden (escondidos) in parks or gardens. In Britain it is estimated that each year 
nearly 80 million chocolate eggs are eaten.  
- Decorating cards with Easter elements:
 bunnies, flowers, eggs…
